WWE 2016 Latest News and Fighter Updates: Triple H Eyes Conor McGregor to Fight in the WWE

Conor McGregor emerged as the winner of the UFC 205 lightweight championship last Saturday and many opportunities are coming to him including potential WWE fights. WWE legend and executive Triple H has got his eyes on the MMA fighter.

Small but powerful fighters

"The Game" was present when McGregor won his fight at the Madison Square Garden and was very vocal about his plan to get the UFC star to be part of WWE. "He could come over, he's got it all, man - he's got the personality, the skills, the talk. He's an entertainer, for sure," Triple H said.

The WWE VP for Talent also noted that smaller guys than McGregor are really successful in the WWE ring. He said that lighter fighters are becoming common in the WWE.

Will McGregor crossover to the WWE?

Though it is still unclear if McGregor's expected announcement had something to do with Triple H's visit in New York, the WWE executive is hoping to seal a deal with the UFC champion. He must really like McGregor to be part of the wrestling entertainment world.

Mixed martial arts fighters have tried crossing over to the WWE including the once undefeated UFC champ Ronda Rousey. "Rowdy" made an appearance with "The Rock," Triple H and Stephanie McMahon during WrestleMania XXXI. A few months ago, Brock Lesnar also fought in a UFC match.

How will McGregor help WWE?

McGregor has been anticipated to fight in the WWE since he made the statement about slapping the head off of the WWE roster three months ago. There could be a big possibility that another crossover will happen between UFC and WWE.

Triple H is certain that McGregor will gather a strong fan base in the WWE. He noted that the UFC star could even make a name just like when Floyd Mayweather fought in the UFC.
