Grand Theft Auto 5 Special Edition And Collector’s Edition Now Available For Pre-Order

Rockstar Games has announced the Special Edition and Collector’s Edition box sets for its upcoming open world title Grand Theft Auto 5. GTA 5, of course, is the latest iteration in the popular Grand Theft Auto series.

The Special Edition and Collector's Editions of Grand Theft Auto 5 will be available for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and are now up for pre-order worldwide. As an additional bonus, players who pre-order either of these special editions or the standard version of the game are also entitled to access to pilot a special Atomic Blimp in-game vehicle.

The Grand Theft Auto 5 Special Edition is set to be priced at $79.99 and offers a copy of the game, a steelbook case that bears an official artwork, replica maps of Los Santos and Blaine Country, and a number of in-game bonuses which include boost ability, new outfits and tattoo skins, and additional weapons.

“When visiting Ammunation stores in single player, merchants will have special weapons in their inventory available for free: the Pistol .50, Bullpup Shotgun and melee Hammer,” the page states.

The Collector's Edition, on the other hand, costs $149.99. It features all the same contents of the Special Edition alongside a host of additional goodies: A Grand Theft Auto 5 Security Deposit bag bearing the Rockstar Games logo, an Era 9FIFTY SnapBack cap embroidered with a Los Santos logo, the GTA 5 logo and Rockstar Game logo, the option to customize characters for the Grand Theft Auto Online character creation system, and special in-game vehicles and Garage Property.

“Players will instantly receive a garage to store custom vehicles. In single player, the garage will be stocked with the 1930’s style Hotknife hotrod and the CarbonRS sports bike. In Grand Theft Auto Online, players will get the high-end Khamelion electric car,” it adds.

Grand Theft Auto 5, currently, is set for Sept. 17 worldwide release.
