Microsoft Surface Phone and Windows Mobile

It has been reported that the tech company is already in the final stages of development for the Microsoft Surface Phone 2016. The new Surface lineup will effectively replace the Lumia range in the arsenal of Microsoft's products.

According to a report, Microsoft Corporate Vice President Panos Panay is working with his team on the Microsoft Surface Phone 2016. The new devices are said to undergo a paradigm shift, which aims to deliver a revolutionary Windows-based smartphone. The Surface Phones, in turn, are expected to shift the public view on smartphones based on the Windows Mobile platform. For years now, the platform lags behind Android and iOS.

Microsoft Surface Phone Specs and Features

According to many reports, the 2017 Microsoft flagship would come in three size variants. The upcoming Microsoft Surface Phone 2016 would also pack a whopping 8GB of RAM and 512 of internal storage capacity. The devices will be powered by Intel's powerful Kaby Lake chipsets. The partnership with Carl Zeiss would also continue with a 20MP rear camera.

The display of the new Surface Phones would adopt the AMOLED technology at a Quad-HD resolution, effectively rivalling the Samsung offerings. The fingerprint scanner would then be embedded on the screen, which would be a new technological innovation integrated on the Microsoft Surface Phone 2016.

The bezel-free and curved edge display may also be featured in the upcoming Microsoft Surface Phone 2016. There would also be native support for the Surface Pen and a peripheral keyboard. Continuum would continue to be a key feature of the Windows Mobile device.
