When THQ filed for bankruptcy in August, Nordic Games acquired all rights of the "Darksiders" franchise and recent reports stated that the Swedish publisher is planning to release "Darksiders 3" in upcoming month to come. The "Darksiders" franchise has developed quite a huge fan base for its unique storyline and gameplay, which is why Nordic Games is willing to develop a third installment to the hack-n-slash game.
Imminent Release of 'Darksiders 3'
Gamespot reports that the Nordic Games executive producer has joined in a Steam discussion stating the game developers has plans for "Darksiders 3" in the near future. The executive producer mentions that "Darksiders 2: Definitive Edition" is a starter to reactivate the fan base and get more perspective to where "Darksiders 3" is headed.
Nordic Games also stated that the Swedish game developers are planning to release remastered version of the original "Darksiders" game in current gaming consoles with a higher resolution like 1080p. This is due to the fact that maybe Nordic Games wants to increase the hype for "Darksiders 3" when the game releases in the near future.
The Nordic Game executive producer added that there will be a large-scale project for the "Darksiders" franchise. However, the producer said that the company is more focused in recently released games because it helps broaden the game title in the market.
Meanwhile, there are some rumors in the web that Mark Hamill, who was the voice actor for the Watcher in "Darksiders", will be back for "Darksiders 3" to voice the said character. However, Mark Hamill has yet to confirm if the "Star Wars" actor will return to work for the development of "Darksiders 3". Hamill is reportedly gearing up for the upcoming "Star Wars" film.
'Darksiders 3' Release Date
