'Defenders of the Triforce' Latest News & Update: 'The Legend of Zelda' To Turn Into Real-World Escape Room Game?

A recent report suggests that Nintendo will turn "The Legend of Zelda" into an escape room game. The real-life "Zelda Adventure" is called "Defenders of the Triforce."

Apparently, the Japanese company, Nintendo, turns "The Legend of Zelda" as they partnered with SCRAP, the renowned designers of many popular escape room experience to work the unique multi-city Puzzle Tour inspired by "The Legend of Zelda series," Coming Soon reported. This game is reportedly coming out soon.

The real-world game is called "Defenders of the Triforce." It will be available throughout the United States early next year, according to The Verge.

How does it differ to other "Legend of Zelda" franchise and other escape room?

According to Nintendo, "Defenders of the Triforce" will feature many of the familiar Zelda touches. In a released statement by the company, gamers will work in teams of six in order to solve a mystery in a huge area within a set time limit. The game will let gamers to guest interact with classic items and characters that appeared in "The Legend of Zelda" such as Goron, Zora and Kokiri tribes.

Tour schedules around the U.S.

All the discovered items will be used to solve puzzles. Every time a player guest an item and solve a puzzle, he will move forward into other areas, just like in "The Legend of Zelda" games.

"Defenders of the Triforce" will start on tour throughout the US starting in January. The Verge provided a list of tour schedule. The tour schedule has definite dates set for Los Angeles (Feb. 10-12, 2017), San Diego (Feb. 24-25, 2017) and San Francisco (Jan. 31-Feb. 5, 2017). Tour dates for Seattle, Phoenix, Houston, Chicago and New York are yet to be announced.
