‘Dead Rising 4’ Release Date, Gameplay, News & Update: Title To Feature A Four-Player Co-op! More Characters, Weapons, Challenges Coming? Game Details

With the "Dead Rising 4" release date just weeks away, developer Capcom Vancouver has finally revealed some details about its upcoming title. For instance, the newest installment of the survival horror open world beat 'em up franchise will do away with a multiplayer co-op in its campaign mode, replacing it with something else.

'Dead Rising 4' Gameplay - No Multiplayer Cooperative Feature

When "Dead Rising 4" release date arrives this December, it will mark the fourth iteration of Capcom's highly popular survival horror beat 'em up franchise. In a recent announcement by David McAnerin, gameplay producer, it was revealed that the upcoming title will not have a cooperative multiplayer feature in its campaign. However, it will have a four-player co-op in a separate mode instead, reports GameSpot.

The decision to ditch a multiplayer co-op in the campaign mode was made so that that players will focus on the protagonist Frank West's story. McAnerin assures that players will love the character with the arrival of "Dead Rising 4" release date next month as West will definitely be an interesting character.

'Dead Rising 4' Gameplay - Frank West Is Back

Capcom apparently thinks that the photojournalist Frank West is the right main character for "Dead Rising 4." Long time fans of the franchise will note that Frank West was also the protagonist of the first game when it released back in 2016, but was replaced by mechanic and motocross champion Chuck Greene in "Dead Rising 2" when it released in 2010 and another mechanic Nick Ramos in "Dead Rising 3" back in 2013.

However, Frank West will be back when "Dead Rising 4" release date arrives this December 2016. This time, West will be heading for the fictional Willamette, Colorado which will be Christmas-themed because it will also be Christmas time in the game. Unfortunately, Willamette will experience a zombie outbreak by the time West will arrive and the photojournalist will be spending his holidays battling with the undead.

'Dead Rising 4' Gameplay - Four-Player Co-op Mode

However, the upcoming "Dead Rising 4" gameplay will still offer players the option to team up in a separate mode according to McAnerin. In this mode, players can prove their mettle by surviving as long as they can as they take on different missions.

Players will finally be able to get a piece of the action from Capcom Vancouver's latest horror survival title. "Dead Rising 4" release date is scheduled this coming December 6, 2016, initially available only for Xbox One and PC, but with future plans of making it available to PlayStation 4 and Steam.
