Among the Google Nexus variants that were released last year and before, Google made another update, which is "Google Nexus 7 (2016)". It is said that this tablet/phone is 7-inches and rumored to be built with the help of Huawei.

Rumors spread faster than a speed of sound. However, one post mentioned that instead of the name Google Nexus 7 will not be called as is. Instead, it will be called "Pixel 7" to avoid confusions and provide a vivid difference from the last product releases with the same name.

Great difference comparisons from the last Nexus 7

Obvious differences can be seen when "Google Nexus 7" or "Pixel 7" is compared to the 2013 version of Nexus. In addition, one post from ARSTECHNICA mentioned the rumor about the word Pixel will be the new name of the "Google Nexus 7 (2016)". The rumored specs would be higher RAM and performance compared to the old versions.

According to Marques Brownlee, the body of the tablet or phone will have a metal cover, which makes the phone/tablet stronger and more durable against accidental fall. Moreover, "Google Nexus 7 (2016)" will have a slender glass window for easier hold, without losing the comfortable grip of the phone so users will have a firm grasp to it.

It will have a 4GB RAM and Quad Core SOC, which is huge enough to handle bigger programs and apps on the portable device. Marques also mentioned about Evan Blass, a leaker, mentioning in Twitter about Verizon carrying the two "Nexus" handsets, reminding readers about the two quotations marks on the word "Nexus".

Evan Blass is known for his accurate leaks in Twitter. Rumors about "Google Nexus 7 (2016)" or shall we say "Pixel 7", will be out either at the end of 2016, hopefully, and will put these rumors to rest including the speculations behind it. Hopefully, this device will be a huge improvement compared from the previous ones. For more gadget updates, stay in touch for more.
