Remedy Entertainment Teases Gamers With New Video Game Trailer

Remedy Entertainment, the developer of popular video games such as “Quantum Break” and “Alan Wake,” would release a new game soon. It posted on YouTube on Thursday a teaser video announcing the posting in the coming days of a new game trailer.

According to Gamespot, the game is still in the conceptual stage and the roll out would not be in the so near future. But the developer has a prototype which it is looking for a publisher.

In August, Remedy Entertainment hinted of an upcoming secretive project. It would be in addition to the campaign for “Crossfire 2” that the studio is jointly developing with Smilegate of South Korea.

Is It A Multiplayer Game?

The September announcement by the developer that it had begun making multiplayer games is another hint of what to expect. Another point of speculation is the venue for the announcement of the new game, with The Game Awards and PlayStation Experience – both slated on the first weekend of December – as the possible venues for the reveal.

Among the rumors swirling are that Remedy would return to the “Alan Wake” game which the studio released in 2010 after a long development cycle. On initial release, sales was slow but it eventually built a cult following. It the developer would make an “Alan Wake 2,” it would be in response to clamor from gamers, Attackofthefanboy reported.

Likely Not “Alan Wake 2”

But Wegotthiscovered noted that in early 2016, Thomas Puha, head of communications of Remedy, told Polygon, “if the right opportunity came along [to make Alan Wake 2] we would like to do more. That doesn’t mean there isn’t one in the future. We just don’t to tease people and give them the wrong impression.” The games website discounted the possibility of a “Quantum Break” sequel because Remedy previously stated its next title would not be published by Microsoft. However, Respawn’s theory is it could be a “Titanfall 3.”
