Although, “MacBook Air” lost its acclaimation as Apple's most desired MacBook some time ago, but is does not meanthat it's no longer serving its purpose to the users. Apple has kept the machine attractive by upgrading it with Intel's latest processors each year and lowering the cost of entry.
“MacBook Air” is still renowned for its traditional USB 2.0 ports, a Thunderbolt port, and an SD card slot, 12hrs battery duration and much more

Avid users of the MacBook Air will just have to wait for the official announcement of its next-generation successor. Sources reported that Apple is about to discontinue the entire Air product line, including the iPad Air 3, especially when the newer-generation relatives are now thinner and lighter than the current generation Air devices. The “MacBook Air” successor has been rumoured to be released officially at least January 2017.
