Niantic continues to thrive in keeping “Pokemon Go” players happy with frequent updates. Much of that has happened in recent weeks but a new version has recently come out.
Versions 0.33.0 rolled out recently, filled with fixes and improvements for “Pokemon Go”. The highlight spotted from the patch notes include the chance for trainer to change their nicknames but only once, Neurogadget reported.
Other than that, the “Pokemon Go” version 0.33.0 covers mostly upgrades on dialogues tied up to Pokemon encounters and once on the go. In the case of the ones on vehicles, trainers will have to now indicate that they are truly not the driver.
This somehow calls to mind Niantic’s move to address “Pokemon Go” players who play and drive. The intent is to reduce accidents though most of the company’s efforts have been lacking in essence.
That includes the speed cap and the ReCaptcha they experimented on, both of which lack the proper coverage in determining whether a player is indeed driving or cheating on “Pokemon Go”. It remains to be seen what kind of authentication Niantic has come up with this time, hopeful useful rather than buggy. Much of that was tackled in a previous post.
Aside from that, there is also the tweaks made on the messages that pop up when throwing PokeBalls at the pocket monsters. Now, the appropriate XP bonuses will be given to “Pokemon Go” players which had to make do with the bugs tied up to the messages like “Nice”, “Great” and “Excellent”.
The battery saver mode for iOS users was also resolved and re-enabled plus a host of other fixes for “Pokemon Go”. Depending on the person still playing the AR game, these could be important and then maybe not.
Most want to see more “Pokemon Go” spawns of a different kind plus good hauls. Many were tread to that during Halloween and more are expected from speculated in-game events like Thanksgiving and Christmas.
