Fans are already excited about the OnePlus 4, which is scheduled to launch next year. The OnePlus is the brand's next flagship model, set to compete with the top smartphones of 2017.

OnePlus 4 will reportedly feature a glass body with an AMOLED 5.3-inch screen with a 2K resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, writes Tech Radar. There are talks that the OnePlus 4 will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 830 or Snapdragon 835 processor.

The handset is said to come in two variants - 6GB and 8GB, depending on the chipset, 128GB of internal memory and a 4000mAh battery. The OnePlus 4 is said to house a dual-camera sensor setup. It may also have Augmented Reality (AR) and Mixed Reality (MR) features.

The OnePlus 4 may have a 16-megapixel rear camera at least. Other rumored specifications include the Snapdragon 835 chip with Quick Charge 4.0 and OxygenOS, which is a customized version of Android 7.0 Nougat.

According to Pocket-lint, there are rumors that the next flagship phone will be called OnePlus 5, instead of OnePlus 4, because the number 4 is bad luck for many Asians. Compared to the OnePlus 3 and recently released OnePlus 3T, the OnePlus 4 will have its display reduced from 5.5 to 5.3 inches.

There are also talks that the resolution of the OnePlus 4 will increase to Quad HD and a pixel density of 554ppi. The display and resolution upgrade will be essential for the handset to retain its title as the flagship killer.

The OnePlus 4 is expected to launch in summer 2017. If the OnePlus 4follows the release pattern of the OnePlus 3, the next flagship device may arrive in June 2017 at a price of around $400. The original OnePlus launched in April 2014, the OnePlus 2 in July 2015, and the OnePlus 3 in June 2016, so the OnePlus 4 may come in May or June.

In the meantime, fans can take advantage of the OnePlus 3T, which has a Snapdragon 821 chipset, a 5.5-inch full-HD Optic AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 with 441ppi, an Adreno 530 GPU, 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. More updates and details on the OnePlus 4 are expected soon.
