As the "Super Mario Maker" 3DS release date approaches, more details about the upcoming title from Nintendo has been released. Apparently, the upcoming "Super Mario Maker" for the Nintendo 3DS console is basically similar to its Wii U counterpart which released last year.

The upcoming title "Super Mario Maker" 3DS from Nintendo is both a game and a game maker as its name suggests. Players who have been around long enough must have already played some variant of its predecessors of the Super Mario franchise.
While the previous games will only let gamers play on pre-formated courses or levels which increases in difficulty as the player unlocks new levels, the upcoming "Super Mario Maker" Nintendo 3DS gives full control to the player over what courses to play. While it also comes preloaded with pre-made courses, the main selling point for the upcoming game is that players will not be confined with the pre-made courses and levels alone.
When "Super Mario Maker" 3DS release date arrives next month, players will have the option of creating their own courses and levels, customizing to their hearts' content of what to include and to exclude in their creations. Using the tools provided in the game, players are given a free hand to choose themes and items, including enemies, from the various games of the franchise such as "Super Mario Bros. 3," "New Super Mario Bros.," "Super Mario World" and "Super Mario Bros.," reports Polygon.
How 'Super Mario Maker' 3DS Differs From The Wii U Version
Just like its Wii U counterpart, gamers will be able to share their creations with other players. The drawback is that "Super Mario Maker" Nintendo 3DS gamers will only be able to share their created levels via StreetPass connections or local wireless.
Another difference is that the upcoming "Super Mario Maker" 3DS will come with the Super Mario Challenge Mode, reports VG247. This contain 100 new stages or levels created exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS version of the game.
'Super Mario Maker' Nintendo 3DS Pre-loading In North America
North American gamers may now pre-load ahead of the "Super Mario Maker" 3DS release date. The pre-loading requirement is that there should be 365.125 MB free space on one's Nintendo 3DS.
