'Andoid 7.0 Nougat' Latest News & Update: Motorola Makes It Official! Moto Z Droid, Z Droid Force Have The Nougat Update

Android 7.0 Nougat is out for Motorola phones specifically the Moto Z Droid and Z Droid Force. The update is also adding Daydream compatibility. The company announced that these two models of smart phones are the first to receive the Nougat update.

After the release of Android 7.0 Nougat in Aug. 22, 2016, devices such as Google Nexus and Pixel line were run by Android Nougat. All Moto Z Droid and Z Droid Force will get the Android 7.0 update, and Phone Arena suggests checking Motorola's website for a list of carriers and countries where the update is rolling out.

The Android 7.0 update enables the Z Droid and Z Droid Force to run the Google's mobile VR feature called Daydream. It also comes up with a Camera API 2 support by allowing certain applications to fully manage the camera.

The Android 7.0 Nougat update has a total download size of 1586 MB. It is highly recommended to be downloaded using a Wi-Fi connection. One of the lucky owners of the Moto Z droid and Moto Z Force droid received an update of the Android 7.0 Nougat, but has yet to share about this. As long as it confirms the roll out, all the Moto Z droid users will likewise be receiving the update.

According to the users on Reddit, the Android 7.0 Nougat update took 20 minutes to be installed on the Moto Z Droid device and includes features like quick app switching, split screen mode as well as data saving.

The first devices to get the update of Android 7.0 Nougat are the Moto Z Droid and Moto Z Force Droid in the US. All Moto Z models and Moto G4 families will start updating for Android 7.0 Nougat before the end of the year.
