‘Pokemon GO’ Latest News & Update: CP Changes to Be Done in Future Too; Double XP & Stardust Offered by Niantic

If reports are to be believed, the "Pokemon GO" Thanksgiving event is now confirmed and CP changes have been revealed. Niantic has reportedly deployed a new "Pokemon GO" event this week and has made some major CP changes. This month has been a month of updates for the game and the recent update has made Combat Point changes to certain Pocket Monsters.

 According to Express, the update has provide a scope for expansion later and the balancing tweaks affect only a handful of Pokemon and must not affect too many player Gym lineups. Several Pocket Monsters in "Pokemon GO" have been boosted and Niantic is keeping Gym Experience as competitive as possible.

Niantic has released a statement where it mentions the Combat Power (CP) adjustments to various Pokemon and Pokemon such as Gengar, Rhydon and Alakazam no have increased CP. However, other Pokemon will have their CPs lowered as this will allow a more balanced and competitive training and battling experience in "Pokemon GO" Gyms.

Niantic will in fact keep altering CPs of Pokemon in future to improve game balance. This news comes at a time when another "Pokemon GO" update will allow fans to enjoy an X2 XP event during Thanksgiving week. "Pokemon GO" fans will be able to enjoy a huge bonus from Nov. 23-30.

"So, starting November 23rd at 00:00 UTC and going through November 30th 00:00 UTC, we will double the amount of XP and Stardust you receive when completing in-game actions," a statement by Pokemon GO said. Niantic has made available "Pokemon GO" in eight more countries - Bahrain, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates.

The "Pokemon GO" game has also been updated to version 1.17.0 for iOS and 0.47.1 for Android with minor text improvements and fixing the Egg-hatching cutscene animation issue that would become briefly visible from the map view. Stay tuned to GamenGuide for more "Pokemon GO" news and updates!
