"The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" has gotten most fans exhilarated for its 2017 release. It's poised to be the open-world Zelda adventure game everyone has always wanted, with all the familiar but upgraded elements of the universe they've all come to love and appreciate. However, there's no current official announcement regarding its release--save for an online listing that seemed to hint at a June 2017 release.

Apart from that, however, "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" is also expected to be a Nintendo Switch title. According to IGN, "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" is going to be the first original Zelda game that is developed for Nintendo Wii U console and the Nintendo NX. The game will be following Link after he wakes up from a hundred-year old slumber. During that period, the world has been ravaged by the Calamity Ganon.

IGN further reported that "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" gameplay, which showed that Link can only replenish his health after eating or cooking food, and not by getting hearts off grass and on enemies. The only way for Link to earn currency, moreover, is to sell items in the town. Link can also jump and climb any cliff or wall although this endeavour eats away at his stamina meter.

Meanwhile, runes take center stage in terms of importance in "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" gameplay. It can be used to create bombs, move and manipulate metal objects or even manipulate time.
