How to Evolve Pikachu to Alolan Raichu in “Pokemon Sun and Moon”

The easiest way and probably the only way to get Alolan Raichu is to evolve it from a Pikachu. As of today, there are no reports yet that Alolan Raichu can be caught in the wild but no one can really be sure. So until then, evolving Pikachu is the best way.

To evolve Pikachu, a Thunder stone is required. Feed it to Pikachu and it will automatically trigger an evolution to Alolan Raichu. Compared to the standard Raichu, Alolan Raichu becomes a dual type Pokemon which is Electric and Psychic with a much longer tail.

How to Get Raichu Exclusive Z-Move in “Pokemon Sun and Moon”

After evolving Pikachu to Alolan Raichu, the next step is to let it learn the move exclusive for its kind called “Aloraichium Z”. This Z-Crystal move can only be obtained in Poni Island in the Seafolk Village. This move allows any Alolan Raichu to learn a powerful thunderbold move called “Stoked Sparksurfer”

What Makes Alolan Raichu Unique in “Pokemon Sun and Moon”

Alolan Raichu are known for gathering all their psychic powers through their tails and then ride on it so they can float on air. Researchers could not figure out what made Raichu change into a different form in Alola but nobody seems to care because they love the new Raichu form. The best thing about the Alolan Raichu is its new ability, Surge Surfer that is something that only its kind can do. This ability allows it to move faster and doubles its electric power.
