Rumors that Sam Drake is going to feature as lead protagonist in "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" upcoming Story DLC was busted as fake. Sam, who is the brother of Nathan Drake is said to have his own story twist but an insider cut the misinformation short by shutting the rumor down.
To recall, Sony and developer Naughty Dog have confirmed that there will be two post-release contents for "Uncharted: A Thief's End." Survival DLC is thought finished while its sister Story DLC is confirmed to be in development as of now. Story DLC is thought to be a standalone plot that will swerve a bit from Nathan storyline. However, these details are yet to be announced in a PlayStation event this year.
Now here is a thought about "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" Story DLC, it could still feature Sam but it appears that the main protagonist is still Nathan Drake. There are earlier reports about Drake's daughter Cassie joining the cast but this info is unverified as well. Yes, it is true that players have requested for a plot that will carry Nathan-Cassie adventure together but sources revealed that this isn't going to happen for now. Writers have thought of better alternative and more exhilarating story, GamePur said.
At any rate, "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" will finally shed light at PlayStation event in Dec 3 through 4th.
