'Pokemon Sun and Moon' Guide: How to Get A Shiny Pokemon Easily

Shiny Pokemons are just like any other Pokemon but in a different color in "Pokemon Sun and Moon". Sometimes the difference is minimal but there are Pokemons where the colors are complete opposite. But regardless of the color, many players still want to get their hands on the shiny Pokemon.

Getting a shiny Pokemon doesn’t happen until later in the game so patience is important. So while players wait for the time when they game will allow them to get shiny versions of Pokemon, here is a complete guide how it is done.

Step One: Get an Adrenaline Orb

Players will know that they’re close in getting their very first shiny Pokemon is when they are able to acquire an Adrenaline Orb in "Pokemon Sun and Moon". This is likely to happen on the second island after going through the Lush Jungle and completing Mallow’s trial. Head to the Pokemon center and purchase the orb.

Step Two: Battling Pokemon Must Have Hold Back or False Swipe Move

Players are another step closer in getting a shiny Pokemon when the Pokemon they use to battle have learned False Swipe and Hold Back move in "Pokemon Sun and Moon". This allows the player to very slowly drop the HP instead of hurting it big time and causing it to faint at once. This will make the wild Pokemon call for help which increases the player’s chances of finding a shiny Pokemon.

Step Three: Find the Habitat of the Pokemon

The player must now decide which shiny Pokemon they will look for and head to its habitat. After encountering it on the wild, player must continuously use False Swipe and Hold Back. Use the Adrenaline Orb to encourage the Pokemon to call for help. The Pokemon responding for its distress call will be in the same kind but will either have better stats, have a secret ability or a shiny one. When the shiny Pokemon arrives, just defeat them all in battle and the player gets to take it home in "Pokemon Sun and Moon".
