Leaked Gear Manager for iOS File Connects Easily to Samsung Gear S3 and Gear S2; Full Installation Discussed

Samsung smartwatch owners, both Gear S2 and Gear S3, may download and install the Gear Manager app for iOS on their iPhones to connect the phones to the Samsung smartwatches. An IPA file has surfaced online and it appears to be the final build of Samsung's Gear Manager app for iOS.

The iPhones need to have iOS 8.4 and up. Users should also know that the IPA file is still in its beta version. Therefore, bugs can be expected. However, the file does provide an overview of what the final file will look like. Several users have confirmed that the leaked IPA is the latest beta build and very much connects to Samsung Gear S3 and S2.

The leak was first reported by Korean Tizen development community Tizen Café. Later, the XDA Developers forum confirmed the leak. Although it is wise for users to wait for Samsung to roll out the official version of the file, the leaked IPA can be downloaded and installed in a few simple steps.

For the Gear Manager app for iOS to be installed, one must connect his iPhone to the computer and then download the file. Next, the user needs to open the file on iTunes, sync the phone and select Gear S3 and install. The next steps require the user to go to Settings, tap General and Device Management and then choose the option that will trust the Samsung certificate.

The user must perform a Samsung Gear S3 or S2 factory reset, switch on the Bluetooth and pair the device with Gear Manager app for iOS. It is highly likely that Samsung will unveil more watch faces and apps once the Gear Manager file is officially released. Currently, there are only a few watch faces and apps that can be installed on the Gear S3 and S2 from the app.
