‘The Winds of Winter’ Release Date, News & Update: George R.R. Martin Book Reveals Truth About White Walkers

There is no doubt that "The Winds of Winter" is the highly anticipated novel today. Despite the delays, fans are still excited and continue supporting for George R.R. Martin's book which is the sixth installment of the "A Song of Fire and Ice" book series.

It is expected that there will be changes in the storyline of "The Winds of Winter." All reports about the upcoming book are pointing to a bigger story that will shock even the avid "Game of Thrones" fans who think they already know every detail of the story.

George R.R. Martin has earlier assured his readers that "The Winds of Winter" will still be worth reading even though "Game of Thrones" season 6 already concluded. On his online journal, the world renowned author stated that there are many events in the book that are not shown in the TV adaptation which is advantageous for the readers.

"The Winds of Winter" author wrote that readers might or might not be spoiled by the TV show. Both the book and the hit series have evolved so much. There is already a big gap between the two so fans will still interesting facts in the novel.

"Some of the 'spoilers' you may encounter in season six may not be spoilers at all," George R.R. Martin wrote in his online journal. "Because the show and the books have diverged, and will continue to do so." .

There are speculations that "The Winds of Winter" will be divided into three parts. Gamenguide earlier reported that part of the twist is its three segments which still remain unclear to the fans. There are also claims about the White Walkers which is considered as the biggest villains in the book series.

The humanoid ice creatures are reportedly not the real bad guys in "A Song of Fire and Ice." A backstory of the said creatures might be included in "The Winds of Winter."
