The highly anticipated Arkane Studio action-adventure stealth video game "Dishonored 2" was released earlier this month to positive reviews by critics and gamers. Unlike its 2012 predecessor, "Dishonored 2" lets gamers play as either Corvo Attano or his daughter, Emily. This is the first indication that the game features women in power. It also features social divisions and intricate environments for gamers to explore.

According to Polygon, the newly released Arkane Game features women in power. From the beginning of "Dishonored 2," players can pick either Emily or Corvo to take back what they lost. Standing in their way is another powerful woman in the form of Delilah Copperspoon. She is the elder child of Emily's grandfather with a castle maid. An illegitimate child, Delilah was thrown out of the castle and grew up in poverty. She took to the occult to gain powers.

Delilah sparks a conflict between her and Emily when Delilah frames several murders on Emily. It is up to the gamer to deal with her, as they will also have to deal with social classes and intricate environments. Speaking of intricate environments, "Dishonored 2" is not an open world game, but it features breathtaking and meaningful design that will make gamers look twice before proceeding.

One of the more interesting sites in "Dishonored 2" is the clockwork mansion, which The Verge describes as a "piece of interlocking structure just disorienting enough that mastering it feels meaningful." Another area to explore is an exquisite estate in which gamers can manipulate time, but with consequences. It's described as "intuitive" and a "brilliant variation on the game's central design."

As "Dishonored 2" features women in power, social division, and intricate environments, it also provides a meaningful story that lets gamers immerse themselves in the mythology of the Arkane game. "Dishonored 2" is now playable on Xbox One, PlayStation 2, and Windows PC.
