‘Batman: The Telltale Series’ Latest News & Update: ‘Gotham Guardian’ Episode Review! Criticism Gotham Gets Into Chaos In Episodes Of The Game

"Batman: The Telltale Series" is not one to fall into the trap of "the whole game of Batman has to have the Joker". The fourth chapter of Telltale Games' episodic game - "Gotham Guardian" - begins with Bruce Wayne being thrown into the Arkham Asylum after being maddened by the drug count applied by Lady Arkham, who is actually Vicki Vale, and attacking Oswald Cobblepot End of "New World Order".

In his moments without a psychiatric hospital, Bruce encounters a face he has never forgotten. Known only as John Doe, or Joker of the Telltale - played by Anthony Ingruber, also known as Harrison Ford's best imitator in the world - not a bad idea to the universe of versions of the classic that goes from Cesar Romero to Jared Leto in "Batman: The Telltale Series". Players know there's a great imbalance and oppression coming from the antagonist, even if it's not acting the craziest way in the universe.

There are fine subtleties inside "Batman: The Telltale Series" both in his design. He is slightly hedgehog in some scenes - as in the dubbing of Ingruber that contribute to make it memorable. But even so, it is still a huge bar forced to put the Joker in the game this way. The story, which is already filled with the origins of classic characters like Two-Face and Penguin, seemed to pause for a Telltale to show us the villain.

Yes, this is a good version of the Joker, and will certainly return, possibly as the main antagonist of the story in "Batman: The Telltale Series", in a second season, but no plausible justification for his presence here. Worse still, he has information to help Bruce. No doubt with ulterior motives that nothing but a great deus ex machina comes out at a point where the hero was totally lost.
