'Final Fantasy 15' News & Updates: Free 'Final Fantasy 15'-Themed Soda When You Buy The Game At Target!

All the hype is surrounding "Final Fantasy 15" today, and rightfully so, as the much-awaited newest installment of the long-running Square Enix series is dropping tomorrow. For what it's worth, it looks like an RPG that's about to revolutionize not only the "Final Fantasy" franchise, but also the entire Japanese RPG genre.

And if you're really a big fan of "Final Fantasy 15," then you might want to buy the game at your nearest Target. GameSpot is reporting that people who buy copies at a Target will also be getting a free "Final Fantasy"-themed orange soda, called "Wiz's Energizing Elixir." The softdrink, which is a partnership between Square Enix and US soda maker Jones Soda, is based on in-game location Wiz's Chocobo Post, which serves as a rest stop in the game. You can get it for free, but if you want more, you can get it another bottle for $3 also at Target.

According to DualShockers, it's the first-ever "Final Fantasy" drink to ever be sold in the States. Promotional tie-ups like this are far more common in Japan, where the "Final Fantasy" series is a bigger cultural phenomenon. It's not the first time Target has tied up with Jones Soda for something like this, however; both companies worked with game developer Bethesda to come out with the "Fallout 4"-themed "Nuka Cola Quantum."

"Final Fantasy 15" is shaping up to be a very solid entry in the "Final Fantasy" series, despite some inherent flaws in the game. The highest rating for the game comes from Polygon so far, with a 9/10, while most other sites are rating it somewhere around 8. "Final Fantasy 15" comes out tomorrow, November 29, for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. There's no news yet of any possible PC ports of the game, according to Square Enix.
