Jeremy Lin News And Updates: Jeremy Lin Happy To Be Back In New York

Jeremy Lin is back in New York City again.  With him, Linsanity is also back in New York City.  But this time it's not with the New York Knicks.  This time it's with the team that's across town - the Brooklyn Nets.

Jeremy Lin is back as the starting point guard of the Brooklyn Nets.  During the offseason, Jeremy Lin signed a 3 year, $36 million deal with the Brooklyn Nets as a free agent and has already made an impact in his first game back in New York.

In the Brooklyn Nets home opener, Jeremy Lin led the Brooklyn Nets to their first win of the season.  He almost had a triple double, finishing the game with 21 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists.  Jeremy Lin is currently out with a hamstring injury.

It's been four years since Jeremy Lin, now 28, and Linsanity took New York by storm.  One might think that Linsanity has died down in New York since Jeremy Lin left and signed with the Houston Rockets.  He then went on to play with the Los Angeles Lakers and Charlotte Hornets before finally signing with the Brooklyn Nets.  But take a walk down the streets in New York City and every now and then, you'll see people wearing Jeremy Lin's New York Knicks #17 jersey.

That's what makes New York City special for Jeremy Lin.   So special that Jeremy Lin considers New York his home and that he's happy to be back even if he's right now playing for the Brooklyn Nets.

"I'm definitely glad to be back," says Jeremy Lin.  "I obviously have a special connection with New York fans because of everything we've been through, so to be back here playing in front of them again is...to me, I wish it happened earlier."

Of course if you're talking about New York City, you can't forget about the food.  And the food is what really makes Jeremy Lin thrilled in coming back to New York.

"In New York, the food is ridiculous," Jeremy Lin said.  "I've already hit up all my favorite spots. You can go down the street anywhere, any restaurants can be good just because it's New York. I'm a big food person so I love going to really good spots."

Jeremy Lin must be having the time of his life right now.  Sure the Brooklyn Nets are not even winning right now.  Even a playoff spot looks totally out of reach.  We're pretty sure he's not happy with his injury and not being able to play.  But for Jeremy Lin, he's at peace and comfortable with where he's at right now.

"I have a lot more fun through each day," Jeremy Lin says. "I smile a lot more."

Nothing sure beats the feeling of coming back home.
