Steam Latest News & Updates: The Most Favorite Games In Steam Can Now Get Awards! Check Out The 8 Silly Categories!

Many thanks are due to Steam. Gamers would surely know how much a convenience Steam is. It has been delivering a variety of games straight to a computer's desktop and that could not be more wonderful.

CinemaBlend recently learned that Steam is taking its game up a notch by giving out their own awards. This means that the gamers now have the opportunity to vote for their favorite games.

According to the official site of Steam, this awarding phenomenon is a first time in human history. Starting this November, after the players have voted, the Steam Community will get to decide who are nominated for the prestigious Steam Awards.

The Steam Awards are no ordinary awards. They are further divided into 8 different categories. What is more interesting and crazier than that is the innovation that the players have the chance to create their own category of awards? Admit it, this is nothing short of an exciting activity.

As of this writing, the 8 categories of the Steam Awards consist of the following: The "Game Within A Game" Award, The "I'm Not Crying, There's Something In My Eye" Award, The "Test Of Time" Award, The "Just 5 More Minutes" Award, The "Whoooaaaaaaa, dude!" Award, The "Villain Most In Need Of A Hug" Award, The "I Thought This Game Was Cool Before It Won An Award" Award, The "Best Use Of A Farm Animal" Award, and The "We Didn't Think Of Everything" Award.

The categories of Steam Awards may seem silly but they are named the way they are named for reasons so better check the official site of Steam. The Steam Awards are very interesting and this will surely draw more players into engaging themselves in the games.
