A new design is expected in the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8. Fans of the tech company are now looking forward to the changes that will be introduced in the next flagship device.
Bigger screen
Recent rumors indicated that the Samsung Galaxy S8 will come with a big screen just like the planned look for the iPhone 8 in 2017. Expected to have two variants, the next installment could also do away with the physical home button and include a dual-lens camera.
Aside from these features, Samsung could also introduce more storage options for the Samsung Galaxy S8 including a 256GB version. This is said to be an idea taken from the iPhone 7 which had storage options ranging from 32GB to 256GB.
Better selfies
As for its secondary camera, a leak revealed that Samsung is planning to improve the front-facing shooter of the Samsung Galaxy S8. The tech company is thought to introduce and automatic focus function for users to take better selfies.
The technology needed for this additional feature would need an AP actuator for the front-facing camera. But it seems that Samsung is ready to give its best shot for this new introduction.
"People are starting to take more selfies and number of demands for cameras that take selfies with higher qualities is increasing," said a representative in the industry. It was also added that this move will introduce something that other brands have not come up with in the past.
Release date
The Samsung Galaxy S8 will reportedly come out in February 2017. Its timeline for release is a few months ahead of Apple's unveiling of the iPhone 8 which usually happens every September. Samsung's previous release, the Galaxy S7, have received reports of explosion apparently caused by unstable batteries.
