'Pokemon Go' Latest News, Fixes and Updates: Major Update Coming This Month; More Pokemon to be Added

It's already December and "Pokemon Go" fans are waiting for a major update for the AR game which could have a big effect on the platform of the hit offering. This is said to be Niantic's Christmas treat to all of the players who still patronize the title.

Update details

Set to be introduced this month, the update will reportedly allow players to trade cards with other gamers. Aside from this, around 100 legendary Pokemon will also be added to the game.

Though the information of the update has not been confirmed by the game developer, experts analyze that the recent reports on the update are thorough and detailed. This could mean that rumors on the update could really come this month.

Season concerns

However, there are those who are concerned with the release window of the update saying that the change in weather could affect the mobility of the players which is the main requirement for "Pokemon Go."

This would also mean additional spending for the players when they run out of Pokeballs or if they need to incubate eggs because of the cold weather. Releasing the update early would allow players to prepare for these instances especially during this season.

Nearby Pokemon

Also, Niantic is introducing a fix that will finally allow players to see "Nearby" Pokemon. This feature of the game has been faulty since "Pokemon Go" came out. The move of the game developer was made known as it announced the expansion of the game to other areas.

"We will be expanding the Nearby Pokémon feature to the rest of the continental United States and large parts of Europe," Niantic earlier said. The company also highlighted that that they will continue to open their social media accounts for any feedback or comments. What are the other features where "Pokemon Go" can improve on?
