AT&T News & Updates: ‘DirecTV Now’ Streaming Service Will Launch On Nov. 30; Prices And Details Unveiled

Internet-based television service DirecTV Now of AT&T Inc. revealed their launching event on Nov. 30. There will be a line-up of more than 100 streaming channels and will cost between $35 and $70 per month, depending on the customer's selection of package

DirecTV Now offers four tiers of programming at affordable prices in their launch event: Live A Little($35/month with 60-plus channels), Just Right ($50/month with 80-plus channels), Go Big ($60/month for 100-plus channels), and Gotta Have It ($70/month with 120-plus). An additional $5 per month in each package will be charged to avail of HBO and Cinemax channels.

The streaming service can provide access to major broadcast networks except for CBS, and popular cable networks not including Showtime. Despite its limitations of channels, AT&T hopes that DirecTV Now will soon seal the deals with CBS, which also owns Showtime. In addition, DirecTV Now will have exclusive programming of its original show arriving next week, a 13-episode series called "Taylor Swift Now".

However, DirecTV Now will include top networks such as Walt Disney, Time Warner, Discovery Communications and much more. Dealing with 21st Century Fox, AT&T was able to add more high-rated Fox's cable networks in their packages. Subscribers in Los Angeles, New York and Philadelphia will have an access streaming to NBC, ABC and Fox .

On Nov.30, DirecTV Now will be available via Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV Sticks. Not only that, the streaming service will support Android (mobile devices and tablets), web browsers (Google Chrome, Internet Explorers, and Safari) and iOS (iPhone, Apple TV, and iPad). In 2017, DirectTV Now will have its availability in Amazon Fire Tablets, Roku, and Samsung Smart TVs.
