Samsung Galaxy S8 Release Date, Specs, Features, News & Update: Leak Reveals Impressive Specs; Smartphone Better than Apple iPhone 7? More Details Unveiled

Leaked news from China suggest that the Samsung Galaxy S8 will be the company's greatest smartphone to ever hit the market. If the reports are true, the device may go head-to-head with Apple's iPhone 7.

According to Forbes, the latest news from China regarding the Samsung Galaxy S8 suggest that the South Korean tech giant is gearing up for a grand launch next year. The smartphone will allegedly sport a massive storage of up to 256GB and an improved RAM of 6GB. The outlet says questions may rise about Samsung's decision to stick with 6GB of RAM instead of 8GB. However, the 6GB choice will work better in terms of neutralizing the tasks that could cause the device to heat up.

The predecessor of the Samsung Galaxy S8 only featured 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. This makes the upcoming flagship one, giant step ahead. Potential buyers may also be drawn to the substantial storage features that the smartphone will offer.

Meanwhile, there are also reports suggesting that the upcoming smartphone will come with a fingerprint sensor that features an "ultrasonic" system. This means that the Samsung Galaxy S8 no longer needs a separate sensor to detect fingerprints. The fingerprints will be detected through glass. This makes for another huge improvement for the Galaxy series.

It is further expected that the Samsung Galaxy S8 will come in two variants. The first will be the standard edition, with an alleged 5.7-inch display. The second variant, on the other hand, will be larger version. It will reportedly be called the Galaxy S8 Plus and will feature a 6.2-inch screen.

Samsung may be looking to improve its appeal among critics and fans alike, following the flop of the Galaxy Note 7 that garnered negative reviews. The Note 7 was said to have been a product of rushed work and no appropriate testing. With the Samsung Galaxy S8, the multinational group of companies may step up to the spotlight once again.
