Julius Peppers and Dwight Freeney are the defensive ends on the All-25 for Madden 25

The reveal for Madden 25's all star team, the All-25, is right on schedule. After revealing John Madden as the team's coach (who didn't see that one coming?), and Mike Alstott and Marshall Faulk as fullback and running back respectively, EA revealed two more players for the All-star team - Dwight Freeney and Julius Peppers as defensive ends.

Freeney and Peppers were chosen to represent Madden 2007, and 2006

Playing for the Colts at the time, Freeney helped the team to win its second Super Bowl against the Chicago Bears. Later that year, he would sign a  a six-year, $72 million contract with $30 million in guarantees, which would make him one of the highest paid defensive players in the NFL. He played his last season with the Colts in 2012 as an outside linebacker, but an injury kept him from performing on the same level as years past. Earlier this year, he signed a two year deal with the San Diego Chargers.

Julius "The Freak of Nature" Peppers was the second pick in the NFL Draft in 2002, selected by the Panthers, who he played for until 2010. During the '06 season, he set a record for all-time sacks with 81, which he still holds today. Over the course of his career, he's blocked 13 kicks, giving him a number two ranking in the NFL, and his sacks are traditionally in the double digits for most of his seasons played. All of this is what earned him his adorable moniker. During his time with the Panthers, he broke franchise records in career sacks, forced fumbles, and the longest interception return.

5 positions have been revealed so far, and there's still quite a few left. Reveals will continue into August, the final one set for August 10th. The next player reveals are for free and strong safety, which EA will unveil tomorrow, August 1st. The remaining schedule can be seen below:

August 2 - Cornerback
August 4 - Quarterback
August 6 - Wide Receiver and Tight End
August 7 - Left and Right Tackle, and Center
August 8 - Left and Right Guard
August 9 - Linebacker and Middle Linebacker
August 10 - Defensive Tackle

There's still a lot of years let to cover, and a wide array of different players as possible team inclusions. Just keep in mind, players included are only those who have featured in the history of Madden Football, NOT the NFL, so you'll only see players that have been around since '88.

You can check out a brief highlight reel of Freeney and Peppers below. We'll keep you posted as more players are revealed. Madden 25 releases on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on August 27th. It's also scheduled to hit the next-gen PlayStation 4 and Xbox One whenever the consoles launch. A demo will arrive in mid-August.
