Xbox Project Scorpio Release Date, Specs, Features, News & Update: More Expensive, Powerful Console Coming In 2017 [DETAILS HERE]

The gaming console experience is being overhauled and it is going to be caused by the Microsoft's latest console release code named " Xbox Project Scorpio." Microsoft unveiled its plan to generate a new high-end console by the fourth quarter of 2017, sometime during the 2016 Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3).

Dubbed as "the most powerful console ever," the Xbox Project Scorpio boasted 6 teraflops of power, true 4k gaming, 320 GB/s bandwidth, and 8 CPU cores. Since the Xbox Project Scorpio is a 4K console, it should be used together with a 4K TV to bring out its best features.

For those gamers who are currently obsessed or are planning to be more in-depth into VR, fear not because Xbox Project Scorpio is already VR ready. "[Project Scorpio]..... is very attractive to some of the VR companies out there, and we've architecture it such that something will be able to plug right in and work," Phil Spencer told The Verge.

The exact price of the anticipated console have not yet been posted but since the Xbox Project Scorpio is a luxury-type console, sources said that gamers have to expect a higher price range in exchange for the features mentioned above. The Xbox Project Scorpio target population is the hard-core gamers who are willing to shell out extra dollars for a better gaming experience. The Xbox One S, on the other hand, is concentrated to sell to the general gaming population with a more affordable price range.

According to Shannon Loftis, Microsoft publishing general manager, all the games that will be release within the Xbox Project Scorpion's time frame will already be in True 4K. Also, existing Xbox One and Xbox One S games and accessories are compatible with the Scorpio console. Some Xbox One S-HDR Games are "Hitman", "NBA 2K17," "Pure Chess Ultra," "Final Fantasy XV," "Resident Evil 7 Biohazard," "World of Tanks," "Gears of War 4" and "Forza Horizon 3," according to reports.

With all the hype that surrounds Xbox Project Scorpio, games and hardware are believed to be already in production. The console is most likely going to be available in the later part of 2017, just in time for the holidays.
