‘Crackdown 3’ Release Date, Update: Game Launching in Early 2017 for Xbox One, Windows 10? More Details Revealed

"Crackdown 3" is still in the running for release despite the lack of updates and announcements from Microsoft Studios. Fans have been wondering whether the game will push through. Fortunately, latest reports say that it's still in development.

The game was first announced during the E3 Conference 2014. It was also teased for the first time during the E3 2015 with early footages. But by 2016, it was no longer part of the conference leaving fans clueless what happened to it.

But as detailed in Windows Central, Xbox head Phil Spencer revealed via Twitter that the third installment of the world action-adventure video game is still going on after replying to a fan who asked whether it's still alive and well.

Spencer replied, "Yep, saw a build the other day, looked good. One thing I love about CD, you know it from a single frame, look is iconic."

Fans are now reassured that the game will hit Xbox Store once it is released and they will even be able to recognize it in one look because it seems like they have preserved the "Crackdown" look. As of now, there is still no specific date for the release of the third title.

The only known information is that it will be out in 2017 for Xbox One and Windows 10. There is no word though whether it will be early or late 2017 and how similar the third game would be to the other two. Fans will just have to watch out for updates to find out more information of "Crackdown 3."

For those who are not in the loop yet, the first "Crackdown" game was released back in 2007 for the Xbox 360. Its follow-up was then released in July 2010. The game is set in the fictional Pacific City and gamers get to control a biogically enhanced Agent. The goal is to defeat crime lords and organized crime syndicates.
