'Sleeping Dogs 2' Is Under Ambitious Plans Of United Front Games; Square Enix Backing Plans?

A sequel to "Sleeping Dogs," "Sleeping Dogs 2" was already in the plans and was noted to be in the pre-production phase at United Front Games, however, the second game was eventually canceled in 2013, with Square Enix preferring to bet on "Hitman" and "Tomb Raider."

According to some reports that have been rumored to have gained access to several the sequel documents and also talked to several former studio members who closed their doors in October. "Sleeping Dogs 2" would continue the events of the first game.

This time, the policeman, Wei Shen was to join Henry Fang, a corrupt and conflicted partner. Together, they were going to explore the Pearl River region and one of the studio's ambitions was the possibility of arresting any NPC, which would influence the narrative. There would be also a switch between Wei Shen and Henry Fang's perspectives in 'Sleeping Dogs 2' Another ambition was to create free mobile game that would allow players to interact with Pearl River.

In the mobile version of 'Sleeping Dogs 2', the character they would control would be Jane Teng, responsible for the police force and control of the territories. Player choices in the mobile version would have an influence on the game consoles. For example, if they invoked a patrol on the mobile, the consoles would appear a helicopter.

United Front Games had more ambitions for the sequel of 'Sleeping Dogs 2'. One was to allow players' actions, such as arresting someone or accepting a bribe, influence the world of other players. The concept was to resort to recordings in the cloud to determine the amount of crime in the city's neighborhoods and then adjust the level of difficulty in those neighborhoods in each individual world.
