Millions have already flocked in on to watch J.K. Rowling's much-awaited return to the wizarding world's "Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them." With a staggering $500 million on its box office outing just days away from its release, the purported five-installment saga is now a sure-fire smash. Naturally, its fans are on all fours in trying to know what will lie ahead on the succeeding entries and luckily, Rowling herself and director David Yates have revealed crucial information with regard to "Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them 2."
Johnny Depp's villainous Grindelwald is set to become more prominent
Perhaps one of the more shocking parts of "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" is not the revelation that Collin Farrel's Percival Graves is, in fact, Johnny Depps' Grindelwald in disguise — it is the very realization that Depp's character has appeared in the first film. Previous reports have circulated that Depp was slated to appear in its sequel and fans were delighted that they at least had a glimpse of him in this film. This glimpse will reportedly end in the first installment as Johnny Depp's character is set to be the "Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them 2," according to Yates via Leaky Cauldron. He added, "Currently the beasts feature slightly less in the second film, and Grindelwald takes more of a foreground."
Percival Graves may pop up again
As "Harry Potter" entries have famously killed off just too many adorable characters in them, "Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them 2" will also follow suit. Likewise, there were just those one-hit characters who were pegged to appear in its future installments. This time around, rumors are pointing that Colin Farrell's suave Percival Graves may very well be appearing again in the forthcoming sequel. It is speculated that Percival Graves is in fact still alive as the usage of Polyjuice Potion, one that allows a wizard to transform to another one, requires that the identity it assumes is a living person.
The U.K. and Paris
"Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them 2" is also tipped to be exploring more of the wizarding world in the United Kingdom and Paris. As per Yates, "We do go back to the U.K. in the second film as well — it's U.K. and Paris. I'm not sure where Jo is setting the rest of the movies, but they'll be European-centric. I think it will be difficult to ignore America, but the next one is predominately Europe." The movie is set to bow in theaters on Nov. 16, 2018.
