NBA Trade Rumors: Blockbuster Trade Involving Klay Thompson And Jimmy Butler In A Potential Three Team Deal

The NBA trade rumors involving Golden State Warriors All Star shooting guard Klay Thompson is starting to heat up again.  The rumor first started when former NBA player Brian Scalabrine, a TV analyst for the Boston Celtics, recently said on a national radio program that the Golden State Warriors are considering to trade Klay Thompson to the Boston Celtics.

The Golden State Warriors has since denied the rumors.  But as the NBA season goes on into its 2nd month, talks continue to swirl and speculations among fans continue to grow.  A lot of sources from inside the NBA have been saying that if the Golden State Warriors, the so called "super team" of the NBA with the acquisition of superstar Kevin Durant, fails to meet expectations and struggles at any length of time during the 2016-2017 season and if management starts to consider making some deals with other teams, Klay Thompson would be the odd man out and the first one to go.

The latest NBA trade buzz that's being talked about and written about a lot involves a trade between the Golden State Warriors' Klay Thompson and the Chicago Bulls All Star small forward Jimmy Butler in a potential three team deal between the Golden State Warriors, the Chicago Bulls and the Boston Celtics.  The Golden State Warriors and the Chicago Bulls have already discussed about a possible deal for Jimmy Butler before the trade deadline in February last season.  That deal didn't materialize.  However, rumors still persist that if the Kevin Durant does not go as planned, the Golden State Warriors are still interested in Jimmy Butler.

If this latest rumored deal pushes through, the scenarios would be that the Golden State Warriors would get Jimmy Butler and the Boston Celtics' first round draft choice in 2018 and Klay Thompson would be sent to the Boston Celtics.  The Chicago Bulls, on the other hand would receive small forward Jae Crowder, point guard Marcus Smart and the Brooklyn Nets' first round pick in 2018, which is currently owned by the Boston Celtics.

If this deal was discussed during the start of the season, there's a possibility that it would've pushed through.  The Golden State Warriors, as well as Klay Thompson, were struggling to start the season.  Ever since then the Golden State Warriors have been playing really well and are currently on a 12 game winning streak.  Klay Thompson has also regained his shooting touch and shooting the ball well after a shooting slump.  So as of the moment, it's highly unlikely that this rumored deal will push through.
