"Grand Theft Auto IV" has finally announced that a new patch will be available soon. This will be the first time ever for the game to get a patch in six years. This was revealed by "GTA 4" publisher Rockstar Games.
The PC patch introduces the game's compatibility with Windows 8, Windows 8.1, and Windows 10 operating systems. There will be bug fixes and performance optimizations in the upcoming patch. Included in the patch are the login servers. Players just need to upgrade the launcher to be able to log into "Grand Theft Auto IV."
Other improvements for "Grand Theft Auto IV" include added an error code WTV270 to specify a problem when connecting to Windows Live Sign in Assistant or Games for Windows Live Servers. A Display Controller image in Controller Configuration was also added. The patch also fixed a bug that made completing Out of Commission mission difficult once frame rate surpasses 60fps. In addition, the patch fixed a bug with the Resource Usage indicator on graphics cards with more than 2GB of VRAM according to Rockstar Games.
"Grand Theft Auto IV" patch also fixed a bug that regulated settings changes when using new video cards. It also fixed a bug with the map crosshair to a better resolution. In addition, it fixed a bug with text scrolling in Brief Menu, drawlist, crash and overflow. The patch also made a minor performance enhancement, as reported by Gamespot.
"GTA" and Rockstar Games had a cluttered history involving PC. The latest series of "GTA" was not accessible to PC gamers during its release. Non-console players were made to wait until April 2015. These days, players opt to rely on the modding community for game support rather than stick with the developers. Rockstar Games was also responsible for "Red Dead Redemption." The game is yet to be released to the PC platform while its sequel, until now is only accessible to PS4 and Xbox One gamers.
