Pinebook Release Date, News & Update : A Laptop That Is Branded As A MacBook Doppleganger ; Costs Much Cheaper?

The Pinebook  Laptop has been branded as the MacBook Doppleganger for its similar specs with the Macbook Air. Now, new reports are claiming that the MacBook's Doppleganger is cheaper in price but has the quality of Macbooks. Pinebook is similar as MacBook Air because it also uses quad-core 64-bit processor and ARM-based CPU.

Dating back, it was last year that Pine64 launched a Kickstarter campaign for the Pine A64. Now, the team has introduced an affordable laptop that uses the same processor, supporting just about any Android or Linux OS that runs on the Pine A64, called Pinebook.

 Pinebook, a Linux device, is available in 11.6-inch and 14-inch versions priced at $89 and a $99 respectively. It weighs around 1.2 kilos.Moreover, Blog Hackster explained that "the lightweight notebook features a full-size keyboard along with a large multi-touch touchpad for students and Makers."

Though specification are at its modest, still many people are amazed and no one can expect much in this price range, as IT Floss added. Pinebook is not available yet but its website's allowing a pre-register and will contact potential buyers if the laptop would ready for purchase.
