Apple Watch 3 Release Date, Specs, Features, News & Update: Device May Allow Users Access Data, Make Calls, Text without Requiring Smartphone

Various reports suggest that the Apple Watch 3 will feature a SIM card, S3 processor, WatchOS 5 and other standalone apps. If this turns out to be true, then the gadget will definitely come at a higher price. Quite a few Apple products are slated to be released in 2017 and one of them is surely the Apple Watch 3.

It is not yet known when the device will make its way to the market and various reports have suggested various release dates. It may be released with the immensely-anticipated iPhone 8 or on April 2018, the release month of the original Apple Watch. One thing's for sure though, there will be at least a one year gap between the Apple Watch 2 and Apple Watch 3.

Thus, the Apple Watch 3 may also come out on September 2017. This is also the month when the Apple iPhone 8 is widely anticipated. Whatever may be the release date, the device is not coming anytime soon. This also means, it is too early to speculate on the Apple Watch 3 specs though Apple may stick features such as water resistance, dual-core processor and GPS.

The Apple Watch 3 may also run on WatchOS 4 or WatchOS 5 and sport the S3 processor. Another highly expected feature is the device's ability to access mobile data without the user needing the smartphone. This would require the smartwatch to have standalone apps and a SIM card.

Tech Radar reported in November that cellular capabilities could be the big feature, the feature everybody's looking for in Apple Watch 3. This will make the device standout from past models. There is no conformation on the price yet though tech experts believe the Apple Watch 3 may cost at least $50 more than its predecessor. Stay tuned on GameNGuide for more updates on Apple Watch 3.
