Here's the first peek at one of Dead Rising 3's psychos

We're always eager to see what sort of nuts we'll have to face down while up to our knees in the zombie guts. We've heard a few rumors as to who or what they might be back in June, but at least one of them has since been confirmed.

OXM reports that the psychos of Dead Rising 3 are "'themed on the Biblical Seven Sins - that's Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Sloth, Wrath, Envy and Pride. Check out a shot of Greed below - he's "one of the darker psychos,' according to producer Mike Jones."

But with Dead Rising 3's gaudy Beverly Hills styled setting, expect them to have their own west coast twist.

The first psycho to be formally revealed takes on the sin of Greed as a smoking surgeon, with what looks like a necklace made up of fingers, each with its one bit of bling. I suppose that's the greed bit right there, along with a wide array of bracelets and / or watches, complete with some gaudy shoes.

See for yourself below.

With this new bit of seven deadly sins info, let's see if we can apply the missing sins to the other psychos that have been discussed, shall we?

* Shifu - An immigrant to the new setting of Los Perdidos, Shifu has been spending his games tending to a Zen garden, even in the face of a zombie apocalypse. The garden seems to be the only place where he can find peace, and any one who disrupts it faces the business end of Shifu's set of gardening tools.

* Jerry - The end of the world as you know it is no doubt disheartening, but hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, even if she looks a bit..."mannish." Jerry is a female wrestler and bodybuilder, upset that her competition has been canceled due to the whole society crumbling thing. Protagonist Nick meets Jerry at a gym, no doubt perfecting her physique, only to still be mistaken as a man by our hero. This apparently pisses Jerry off, who comes at Nick

This ones tough. Given that both Shifu and Jerry take pride in their hobbies, it's hard to say which embodies the sin more. In the end though, I'm going to give pride to Shify, and assume that Jerry is all about envy, given her sour disposition at being mistaken for a man. It's also a way for Capcom to get a cheap laugh.

* An unnamed motorcycle leader also joins the party, and is quick to revel in the anarchy the zombie outbreak has brought forth. True, players have fought a biker before, but this isn't the slicecycle riding speedster, this biker's vehicle of choice is closer to a steamroller, decked out in body parts for that Martha Stewart touch.
- The bike as a weapon adorned with body parts? Gotta be wrath...

* Trent - The gamer/spoiled rich kid stereotype is in full effect with Trent, a man child who's content to ride out the zombie war by playing videogames away in his mansion. Nick apparently finds him surrounded by empty soda cans and potato chip bags.
- The bit about chip bags and soda screams gluttony, but also sloth. I'll go with the former for now.

That still leaves us with a few more psychos left to go, and more deadly sins along with 'em. We'll keep you posted as Capcom provides more info.
