Caitlyn Jenner is enjoying life after declaring to the world her true gender identity on Vanity Fair. Now engrossed in different efforts, she still finds the time to publish a memoir of her experiences.
The Huffington Post cpvered the book reveal that was made on Jenner's Twitter profile. The book, titled "The Secrets of My Life", is set for an April 25, 2017 release.
According to a New York Times piece that got wind of the book writing early this year, the book will take the reader through the entire process the Olympic gold medalist went through. Alexandra Alter wrote that the book will cover "her highly public transformation from the Olympic track star and motivational speaker Bruce Jenner into a glamorous transgender woman, Caitlyn Marie Jenner."
The LA Times elaborated on the details of the book: "Friday Night Lights" author Buzz Bissinger will co-write the book and Grand Central Publishing will take care of the publication. Jenner says that she is very happy with Bissinger and Grand Central, and she is sure that her story will be told "with a lot of honesty and care."
The piece also covered a bit about Bissinger and why he is entrusted by the "I Am Cait" star to tell her story. The sports journalist had his own share of "gender confusion" and will know how to write the story with the right amount of caution.
Bissinger has also cross-dressed in the past, but he was quick to clarify that he is different from Jenner. "I wear women's clothes, because it makes me feel sexual; I get a sexual turn-on from it," he explained. "That's not why she wears women's clothing. She wears women's clothing because she was born a woman."
The book will be Jenner's seventh under her name. Her previous books were all written and published before her transition under the name Bruce Jenner.
