Last 2010 may be the saddest, darkest year for fans of hit TV series, "Prison Break" after lead actor Wentworth Miller mentioned that the series won't return. Now, fans will be thrilled that "Prison Break" Season 5 will soon be on the mainstream.

"I feel as though we told the story we intended to tell. That's something that's very rare in television - that you're allowed closure - and we were", said Miller in an interview. However, after he and his co-star Dominic Purcell were re-teamed on a superhero series "The Flash," a new interest in "Prison Break" was born.

With fans getting crazy about the speculation, Fox didn't wait too long to make an official statement in August about its comeback. Ten episodes, which was later cut to nine, were about to hit the TV screens again.

When Is The Official Comeback?

No exact date was confirmed yet but it will be aired on 2017. Actors Miller and Purcell had already started filming for the new episodes of "Prison Break" Season 5 in spring of 2016.

Who's Coming Back?

"Prison Break"  Season 5 has created characters that fans have started to love and despise at the same time. This is the top reason, aside from the uniquely, brilliantly written plot, why fans are not getting enough of the Tv series.

Obviously, Michael Scofield and his brother Lincoln Burrows are guaranteed to be back on the screen. Despite leaving Scofield dead and buried on "Prison Break: The Final Break", we'll be seeing both of them again, alive and kicking.

Coming back with them  is  Scofield's beloved Sara Tancredi, played by actress Sarah Wayne after she was called for her role's return. Amaury Nolasco a.k.a. Fernando Sucre has also ended the rumors of his comeback instead turned validated that he's going back for real in "Prison Break" Season 5

The show will never be complete unless a much hated (and loved at the same time) villain is present. Robbert Knepper, a.k.a. Theodore Bagwell or T-bag will also be seen this 2017 in "Prison Break" Season 5.

For now folks, this is all we've got. Make sure to stay tuned for more updates and spoilers about one of TV series favorites, "Prison Break."
