LG Electronics Has Released A Firmware Update; Fixes Laggy Performance On OLED & LCD TVs HDR Gaming. Details Here!

Last month, LG Electronics promised a fix to its OLED and LCD TVs HDR laggy performance where the time that a TV takes in delivering image data received at its inputs. People have filed two petitions on change.org regarding the performance issue and now, the electronics company brings good news.

Forbes reports that LG already started rolling out a new firmware update for its newest OLED and LCD TVs, which doesn't only decrease HDR input lag but also brings in a dedicated HDR Game picture preset. The input lag measurement in HDR Game mode on LG's E6 series of OLED TVs is at over 34ms as per the staff of HDTVtest, which is a great progress from almost 60ms lag before.

For LG LCD TVs, the input lag measurements that has also received the update for HDR Game are not yet available, but the guys over at HDTVtest hope that they will also get the same figures as the OLED TVs. Some of the LG 2016 LCD TVs went through a tremendous HDR input lag over 100ms prior to the firmware update so LG may take a longer time in making LCD lag figures available.

The new firmware updates for OLED and LCD TVs is available for download on LG's U.S. website. People only need to go to the website and search for their TV model, click on Software, Firmware and Drivers to look for the HDR Game update link. Additionally, LG Electronics has previously confirmed that the HDR gaming mode will also be brought in to its 2017 LG TV models.

A South Korean multinational electronics company, LG Electronics Inc is headquartered in Yeouido-dong, Seoul, South Korea. It is part of the LG Group, which employs 82,000 people who work in 119 local subsidiaries globally.
