After we had a brief look a mysterious new (and at that point only) femme fatale making short work of Killer Instinct's resident apache, Double Helix is offering a better look at the hooded enchantress known only as Sadira.
Sadira is the first female character for the developer to reveal, outside of the fighter's longtime female fighter Black Orchid. She boasts some serious ninja techniques and a flashy style, flipping and spinning in and out of combos. She's armed with all manner of blades, with giant wrist gauntlets and two talons protruding from between her knuckles. She also seems to have a penchant for arachnids, fighting enemies in a cave home to a giant spider, and thwips the sort of webs that would make Peter Parker jealous.
Watching her put the hurt on Sabrewulf in the trailer below looks more like an animal cruelty video than a sneak peek at a video game.
Looking at her revealing outfit, the colored hood and decorative veil look like something out of the Middle East, like something a belly dancer you'd never want to piss off would wear.
Apart from the visual, little else is known about her, and Double Helix seems content to keep it that way. Watch the trailer for yourself below, and make sure you watch it all the way to the end. A familiar face that fans have been clamoring for is waiting in the last few seconds of the video.
Yep, that'd be Jago's older sister and the original Killer Instinct black widow, B. Orchid, with her batons, bright green ensemble, and as always, ability to make giant kitties purr. Go ahead, I'll let you make the pun for yourself.
With B. Orchid now in the mix, we're only missing boxer T.J. Combo and the boss character Eyedol to have the original game's entire roster present.
If her fighting style is the same as her outfit (familiar, yet updated) remains to be seen. Given Double Helix's manner of introducing / teasing characters in one trailer only to follow up on them in another, we should he getting more on her in the next few weeks.
