Conan O'Brien continues the Grand Theft Auto 5 humor

Grand Theft Auto V is still making headlines, perhaps the most notabl of which being the game's ability to rake in the dough. In case you haven't heard, the game managed to cross the $1 billion mark in terms of sales, and in the game's first week of release no less.

"We believe this marks the fastest that any entertainment property, including video games and feature films, has reached this significant milestone," said Strauss Zelnick, Chairman and CEO of Take-Two. "Grand Theft Auto is a cultural phenomenon and Rockstar Games continues to redefine what can be achieved in interactive entertainment. We are incredibly proud of the extraordinary critical and commercial response to Grand Theft Auto 5."

The staff at Rockstar and Take Two are no doubt celebrating by taking champagne baths and using stacks of Benjamins to dry off, but how will this money change the true heroes behind GTA V's success, the heist men? Ever on the look out for the next big score, will this billion dollar victory ensure that Michael can finally enjoy his retirement, that Franklin can feed filet mignon to Chop, and that Trevor will finally approach something close to normal? Probably not, but after another humorous "Clueless Gamer" review, late night TV's own Conan O'Brien is at GTA V again, this time examining how booku dollars changes one of the game's protagonists.

See for yourself below:

How right Conan is. Even after a rough fall like that, I'm sure Michael strutted out of the hospital a short time later, the only sign of his impact being a tiny blood stain on his suit lapel.

With heavy shopping holidays like Christmas and Black Friday just around the corner, expect Grand Theft Auto 5's sales numbers to climb even higher, much like the game's player base when Grand Theft Auto Online launches this October, and more GTA humor coming.

GTA V centers around three characters performing a number of heists, each with their own reason for doing so: Michael, the career criminal  with a mid-life crisis, repo man Franklin, and resident redneck Trevor, definitely the most colorful of the bunch, but also potentially the most dangerous.

The game features one of the biggest maps in the GTA series yet, and like past games, has a massive amount of side missions and objectives to keep gamers busy 'til rapture.

Grand Theft Auto V is out now on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
