John Legend Issues With Co-Star Ryan Gosling Revealed A Few Days After 'La La Land's Big Win

John Legend is an Oscar and Grammy-winning musician. However on Friday, the "All of Me" singer revealed on "Good Morning America" that he feels kind of jealous towards his "La La Land" co-star, Ryan Gosling for mastering the piano easily.

The singer-songwriter John Legend is known for his piano skills just as much as his singing voice. Now he is trying his hand at acting and "La La Land" is his first film project.

Furthermore, Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling stars the comedy-drama movie. And since it is also a romantic musical film, Gosling needed to learn how to play the piano for his role. John Legend shared that he was stunned seeing how fast Gosling has become so proficient on it, Belfast telegraph reports.

The 37-year-old singer-song writer and now actor John Legend praised his co-star saying that Gosling was impressive. He also shared that Gosling spent a lot of time learning the piano but mastered it quickly.

He added, "I've been playing since I was four - it's not fair!" However, John Legend also applauded Gosling for being focused and good at preparing for such roles.

John Legend had his fair share in learning a new musical instrument as well. He had to learn the basics of strumming a guitar for his role.

The singer-songwriter John Legend said he just learned enough for his role where he could only look like he knows how to play it very well. He also shared that he feels he is in luck having to work with Stone and Gosling and applauded the two.

This revelation by John Legend came days after New York Film Critics Circle chose "La La Land" as 2016's best film.  According to The Indian Express, the movie might even lead the Oscars night after picking up an award at the NYFCC.
