'The Last Guardian' Release Date, News & Update: New Commercial Released

After years and years of waiting, Team Ico's The Last Guardian is finally going to launch for the PlayStation 4. There's a lot to be excited about the upcoming title and the developer recently launched a new commercial featuring a callback to another game from Team Ico. Fans should now be more than excited to get their hands on the PlayStation 4 exclusive.

The short commercial which launched in Japan recently is currently the talk of The Last Guardian fans. The commercial features a husband coming home with a new PlayStation 4. The wife responds by saying "didn't you move on from games?"

After the short scene, the husband proceeds to pull out Ico, a PlayStation 2 classic from the guys that's responsible for The Last Guardian. The couple then proceeds to state their wedding vows which happen to be a sentence written on the back cover of Ico, Dualshockers reports.

The new commercial is a callout to Team Ico's early project which was a big hit to fans. With The Last Guardian releasing soon, the commercial is just enough to once again tease fans with the upcoming title. Team Ico is no longer working on the project but it's worth noting that the new developer; genDESIGN, is made up of members from Team Ico.

The game's world and story is highlighted in the new trailer and players might be in for one roller coaster of an emotional journey.

The Last Guardian launches tomorrow. It's a PlayStation 4 exclusive and there will be no other available platforms for the game. The game isn't a full-fledged action title so expect a more riveting story than thrilling action sequences.
