Microsoft and Sony are again slugging it out as to which among them provide the best gaming experience. Microsoft banners its upcoming Xbox Scorpio as the most powerful console ever, while Sony boosts its latest PS4 Pro as the super-charged PS4.

Both Microsoft and Sony have stretched the limits of technology to present the best gaming experience to fans and enthusiast around the word.

As to which will outclass the other, let us compare Xbox Scorpio and PS4 Pro gaming consoles in terms of their prevailing specs and features.

In terms of processor, both Xbox Scorpio and PS4 Pro run on 8-core chips. While powered by the same CPU chips, PS4 Pro runs at an impressive 2.13 GHz clock speed, while Scorpio is yet to show it power on this aspect when it will be released by the end of 2017.

Microsoft Xbox Scorpio features 6 teraflops (TF) of GPU power as compare to the 4.12 TF of PS4 Pro with both devices settle on 8GB of graphics memory. But PS4 Pro reserves an additional 1GB RAM for background processes.

When it comes to bandwidth, the key feature that defines the ultimate 4K and VR experience, Xbox Scorpio has 320GBs as against the 218 GBs of PS4 Pro.

According to a CNET report, in terms of video vividness, Microsoft dubs Xbox Scorpio as the first and only console to enable true 4K gaming and hi-fidelity VR. For its part, Sony claims that PS4 Pro's dynamic 4K gaming and entertainment features provide spectacular graphics, way above other gaming consoles in the tech market today.

Microsoft has confirmed that the released of Xbox Scorpio will be in the Holiday Season in 2017, more than a year after PS4 Pro was released in the tech market.

With respect to price tag, the prevailing cost of PS4 Pro is around $399 USD while the Xbox Scorpio is estimated within the range of $300 to $350 USD.
