NBA Trade Rumors: Wizards could acquire Nuggets' Emmanuel Mudiay, Jusuf Nurkic for John Wall

The Denver Nuggets could be a potential landing spot for John Wall if the team decides to rebuild and trade their star point guard.

Talks of a John Wall trade continue to heat as the Wizards trends downhill early in the season. While there are still plenty of games left in the regular season, things are not going accordingly for the Wizards, which could lead to the team making some major changes in their roster.

NBA analyst Bill Simmons talked in his latest podcast about the Wizards trading Wall. Simmons insisted that Washington should deal Wall and acquire future assets necessary for the team's rebuild.

"They're going to have to come to grips with whether they want to trade John Wall or not, and what they can get for him," Simmons said on his latest podcast.

"If I'm running Washington, I would trade John Wall right now. I would just move him for picks and do a complete tankapalooza and try to rebuild and put myself in a much better spot."

Wall's trade value is at an all-time high, with the Wizards point guard considered as one of the premiere two-way point guards in the league. This season, Wall is averaging a career-high 22.3 points a game, and is arguably the most consistent player in the team, making him the Wizards' best trade chip.

Sports Illustrated's Fansided writer Ben Mehic mentioned a trade scenario the Wizards could explore at the expense of Wall. In the proposed deal, the Wizards would send Wall to the Denver Nuggets for Emmanuel Mudiay, Jusuf Nurkic and multiple first round picks.

"Financially, the deal would have to be worked out, but it's something that Washington would have to at least consider if they want to hit the reset button," Mehic wrote.

Mudiay and Nurkic are two of the league's rising stars at their own positions, who could be perfect pieces to build around Bradley Beal. Mudiay is an explosive point guard, who could take over Wall's spot and serve as the team's first or second scoring option, while Nurkic provides another offensive threat inside the paint and addresses the team's rebounding woes.

On the other hand, Wall would give the Nuggets an All-Star caliber player who could turn the franchise back into a playoff team, given the team's other talented key players like Kenneth Faried, Will Barton and Wilson Chandler.

The Wizards could get everything they need to rebuild by trading Wall, although it is unlikely any move happens before the February trade deadline. Nevertheless, it is something the Wizards may consider if the team fails to reach the playoffs this season.
