FIFA 14’s Second Title Update Hits Consoles Later This Week

FIFA 14 has hit the ground running with brand new revamps improving player intelligence, movement, and more. However, this doesn’t mean that the game hasn’t arrived with its own share of problems like in-game crashes and freezes. Thankfully, EA is already aware of the issues and has planned accordingly to suffice die-hard FIFA fans.

EA has revealed that the company will be releasing its second major update for the game later this week that will remove a number of issues that have plagued the game since release.

“You may have noticed that the second title update for FIFA 14 is currently live on PC. Please note that the update is scheduled to come to consoles later this week. We'll share more news as it becomes available and timings are confirmed,” the official page for the same states.

Below is the list of fixes and resolves that have been confirmed to arrive next week for FIFA 14:

- Balancing lofted through balls.
- Balancing attacking headers.
- Balancing finesse shots.
- Improved defender switching during crosses.
- Freezes while making substitutions during gameplay.
- Freezes while entering and exiting Leaderboards.
- Improvements made to Dynamic Camera.
- Corrected crowd sections in Signal Iduna Park.
- Corrected “Any” and “GK” filters in Pro Clubs.

"We've responded to the community and upgraded FIFA 14 cover star Stephan El Shaarawy to 4* Skills in Online Seasons, Head to Head, and Career Mode using EA SPORTS Football Club Match Day. Since the FIFA 14 Ultimate Team ratings and database are separate from the Match Day Update, he will be assessed and potentially upgraded in FUT at a later date," said the page detailing the title update.

The page also states that that team has also “located some of the issues causing freezing throughout the game, but not all of them," and advises players to let EA know about any instances on the EA forums.

“There are a small percentage of remaining crashing/freezing instances and the team will continue to investigate and address them as needed. Thanks for your patience during this time.”

It remains to be seen if the upcoming versions of the game for the next generation Xbox One and PlayStation 4 will arrive with similar problems, or if it will be pre-patched by the company.

By the way, FIFA 14 is pretty impressive and all aces per our review. Check it out here.
