Hope you PC shooter fans have a nice empty hard drive, because you'll need it once Activision's Call of Duty: Ghosts hits PC later this fall. NVidia took to sharing the required specs gamers will need to play the shooter, and it is indeed a beast, requiring a minimum of a whopping 50GB of drive space.
As VG247 noted, comparatively, BioShock Infinite takes up 20GB minimum with 30GB recommended, and Saints Row 4 needed only 10GB, so I can only hope that Ghosts is one sharp looking game. The game's nearest rival, DICE and EA's Battlefield 4, needs 30GB to run smoothly. While that's still asking a lot, it's obviously far less than what Activision is asking for.
Unfortunately, it might be time for some of you to re-consider your hardware, or possibly even give in to going console. The full list of specs is below:

Given the PC specs, it seems likely to assume that the download size for the console versions will be similar, but neither publisher Activision nor developer Infinity Ward has given up that information.
The game takes place in a near future following an attack from space (not aliens) that leaves Los Angeles virtually wiped out, and the US infrastructure devastated, Years later, the country is invaded by a new superpower calling itself the "Federation." What's left of America's special forces have come together to form the titular "Ghosts," and it's up to them to wage guerilla warfare against the Federation in order to protect what remains of the United States, and drive them out.
Call of Duty: Ghosts hits PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii U on November 5. It will also be a launch title for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on their respective launch dates later that month.
